DisplayPort 2.1 is the latest VESA digital audio/video standard, carrying video and audio over one connection with the headroom to drive 7680x4320 (8K UHD) at 60Hz and beyond. Operating in the UHBR10 (DP40) transmission mode, it delivers far more bandwidth than earlier DisplayPort versions, supporting high-resolution, high-refresh, and HDR display setups with Display Stream Compression.
